The co-ordinating centre is based at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.

 

 

The role of the coordinating centre

​

  • Ensure effective communication between all ECRHS III personnel

  • Ensure standardisation is achieved by carrying out a programme of quality control

  • Preparation of reports

  • Dissemination of results when data analysis is complete

  • Organise meetings for the steering committee and for general ECRHS III meetings

  • Scientific co-ordination (together with the steering committee)

  • Data management

  • Data analysis
