The co-ordinating centre is based in the Department of Respiratory Epidemiology and Public Health, at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.

The Role of the Co-ordinating Centre

ensure effective communication between all ECRHS III personnel

ensure standardisation is achieved by carrying out a programme of quality control

preparation of reports

dissemination of results when data analysis is complete

organise meetings for the steering committee and for general ECRHS III meetings

scientific co-ordination (together with the steering committee)
