The co-ordinating centre was based in the Department of Public Health Sciences, King's College London, until the end of 2005. Professor Burney and Dr Jarvis are now in the Respiratory Epidemiology and Public Health Group at Imperial College London.

The Role of the Co-ordinating Centre

ensure effective communication between all ECRHS II personnel

ensure standardisation is achieved by carrying out a programme of quality control

responsible for financial management

preparation of reports

dissemination of results when data analysis is complete

organise meetings for the steering committee and for general ECRHS II meetings

scientific co-ordination (together with the steering committee)
